The Alzheimer Society

The Alzheimer Society is the leading not-for-profit health organization working nationwide to improve the quality of life for Canadians affected by Alzheimer's disease. They are located in every province across Canada and in over 140 local communities. Since 1978, they’ve been dedicated to providing a wide array of help for people with Alzheimer's disease and their caregivers such as: support and information; respite and the difficult transition to long-term care; warning signs, diagnosis and treatment; guidelines for care; ethical guidelines for family and health-care professionals; Alzheimer ‘Wandering Registry’; public awareness and research for a cure.
